At the CDCs, children have a full day in an enriching environment that builds the foundation for their transition into school. The CDCs engage children in guided play and an array of stimulating, age-appropriate activities that include computers, arts and crafts, reading, listening centers and more! Each CDC:
- Serves children ages 6 weeks to 5 years
- Offers full-day, hourly care for 3-5 year olds
- Offers developmentally appropriate curriculum, furnishings, playgrounds and manipulatives
- Requires that staff complete national agency checks and all required DoD annual training
- Participates in the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) food program
- Is nationally accredited through the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC)
- Is certified annually by the DoD
Hourly Care
Reservations are required for hourly care and may be made up to 2 weeks in advance. Each child utilizing hourly care is offered the same developmentally appropriate curriculum, furnishings, playgrounds and manipulatives as regularly enrolled children.
