The Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) South Carolina app is provided as a public service by the MCCS South Carolina.

Information presented on this service, not identified as protected by copyright, is considered public information and may be distributed or copied. Use of appropriate byline, photo, and image credits is requested.

For app management, information is collected for statistical purposes. This QuickSeries application system uses software programs to create summary statistics, which are used for such purposes as assessing what information is of most and least interest, determining technical design specifications, and identifying system performance or problem areas.

For site security purposes and to ensure that this service remains available to all users, software programs are employed to monitor network traffic to identify unauthorized attempts to upload or change information, or otherwise cause damage.

Except for authorized law enforcement investigations and national security purposes, no other attempts are made to identify individual users or their usage habits beyond DoD websites and applications. Raw data logs are used for no other purposes and are scheduled for regular destruction in accordance with National Archives and Records Administration approved records schedule.

Web measurement and customization technologies (WMCT) may be used on this site to remember your online interactions, to conduct measurement and analysis of usage, or to customize your experience. The Department of Defense does not use the information associated with WMCT to track individual user activity on the Internet outside of Defense Department websites, nor does it share the data obtained through such technologies, without your explicit consent, with other departments or agencies, unless directed to do so in statute, regulation, or Executive order. The Department of Defense does not keep a database of information obtained from the use of WMCT. Unauthorized attempts to upload information or change information on this site are strictly prohibited and may be punishable under the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act of 1987 and the National Information Infrastructure Protection Act (Section 1030 of Title 18, United States Code).

Third-party websites and applications that are not owned, operated, or controlled by DoD are integral to internet-based operations across DoD and used to augment official communication and services. These capabilities include, but are not limited to, networking services, media sharing services, marketing, event management, wikis and data mashups. Privacy Act Statement for Mailing List

AUTHORITY: 10 U.S.C. 5013; 10 U.S.C. 5041; E.O. 13571; and MCO P1700.27B W CH1.

PRINCIPAL PURPOSE: To manage and administer communication subscriptions.

ROUTINE USES: Information will be accessed by Marine Corps Community Services authorized personnel with a need-to-know to meet the purpose. In addition, information may be disclosed to current authorized contractors and vendors to accomplish a function related to this system of records. Personal Information Collected and Its Uses, and Exceptions

The following is an exhaustive list of Personal Information collected from you when you use Services and what we use it for. You acknowledge that you are submitting this Personal Information with your informed consent.

  • Mobile User Registration: End users are invited to use the Services and are required to login. With this invitation, end-user access privileges and permissions are set and determined by the Client. The Client must enter the full name and email address of every user that is invited to use the app. In such cases, end users will be asked to set their app password. Log-in information and setting permissions are used to grant you access to the application and to set your permissions. Additional information may be requested of the end users at the Client’s discretion. QuickSeries does not have any input or control over information that may be requested by the Client nor do we have access to this information and will not use it in any way.
  • Location Information: When a user opts in to background location tracking by the app, only the last known location is saved (replaces the previous location). Static locations may also be configured by subscribing to one or many U.S. ZIP code regions. This may also be an alternative to background location tracking for those less comfortable with constantly sharing their location.
  • Mobile device access: The Application may request access or permission to certain features on the user’s device including: calendar, camera, contacts, sensor and, SMS messages. End users can change the access and permissions in their device settings.

Children Under the Age of 13

The Application and the Services are not intended for children under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected or received personal information from a child under 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information. If you believe we might have any information from or about a child under 13, please contact us using the information further up in this Policy
