EFMP met with the MCRD Parris Island Fire Department to have a sensory friendly firehouse experience! The purpose of the tour was to prepare the children for what they would see in the event of an emergency. They even got to experience a firefighter in his firefighting uniform which can be intimidating to children. The children were given a chance to explore real emergency vehicles and even sat in the driver’s seat of a firetruck. Fun was had by all, and goody bags were given to the children after the tour.
