MCRD Parris Island really is an island. There is one way on and off Parris Island so plan for traffic delays up to 45 minutes, especially the day of Liberty and Graduation. Many of the signs leading to the base are small so keep your eyes open and always have a map or GPS with you.

Driving Southbound on I-95

• Take exit 33 for US-17 N toward Beaufort
• Take US-21 S/Trask Pkwy to Beaufort
• Turn right onto Parris Island Gateway
• The ramp to MCRD Parris Island will be on your right

Driving Northbound on I-95

• Take exit 8 for US-278 E toward Beaufort/Hilton Head Island
• Turn right onto US-278 E
• Turn left onto Argent Blvd
• Turn left onto SC-170 E/Okatie Hwy
• Turn right onto SC-128/Savannah Hwy
• Turn right onto Parris Island Gateway
• The ramp to MCRD Parris Island will be on your right

Air Travel

The two airports closest to MCRD Parris Island are the Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport (SAV) and the Charleston International Airport (CHS).
