The Career Resource Management Center (CRMC) provides career/employment assistance, vocational guidance and transition information to separating Marines and their family members.  The tools and information provided enable all separating Marines and their family members to make a successful transition from military to civilian life.  Workshops and seminars include:

  • Transition Readiness Seminars (TRS)
  • Entrepreneurship (Boots to Business)
  • Managing Your (MY) Education
  • Employment Workshop
  • Career and Credential Exploration
  • VA Benefits and Services

To register for classes, please contact your Unit Transition Coordinator (UTC).  If you fall under the Navy, please contact your Command Career Counselor.

Transition Readiness Seminar (TRS)

The Transition Readiness Seminar (TRS) is designed to equip you with resources that are vital for a successful transition.  Topics include VA Benefits, Military Skills Translation, Department of Labor Employment workshops and Financial Planning.  TRS needs to be completed NLT 6 months from EAS.

Upon completion of the Pre-work, Initial Counseling and Pre-Separation Counseling, you will be locked into your requested TRS week.  Contact your Unit Transition Coordinator for registration.

Additional Tracks

The last 2 days of your Transition Readiness Seminar are designated for the 2-Day Tracks.  You can attend these Tracks within your TRS week or on their own as an additional course.

  • Managing Your (MY) Education

The Education Track is a 2-day, hands on course designed to guide you through the variety of decisions involved in choosing a degree program, finding the right college, exploring funding sources and completing the application process.

  • Department of Labor Employment Workshop

The Employment track will prepare you for your upcoming job search and provide you with the basics of job searching, networking, resume building, job applications, interviews and much more.

  • Boots to Business

The Entrepreneurship Track is designed for anyone wanting to learn the basics of starting their own business.Completion of this in-person 2-day track will allow you access to an additional online workshop about starting your own business.

  • Career and Credentialing Exploration (C2E)

The Vocational Track offers an opportunity to complete a personalized career development assessment of occupational interest and ability and to be guided through a variety of career considerations.

Navigating Federal Employment

Applying for Federal Employment?  The Navigating Federal Employment workshop assists you with the federal application process from navigating USA Jobs to structuring your Federal Resume. 

Personal Readiness Seminar (PRS)

The Personal Readiness Seminar (PRS) is the first action point in the Marine for Life Cycle model.  This interactive workshop provides an overview of resources available for continuing education, career development, and personal financial management.  PRS is for first permanent duty station Marines and must be completed within 90 days of arrival at their first permanent duty station.  Registration is required.
