Important: REAL ID Requirement
A REAL ID is required to access Department of Defense installations. If you do not have a REAL ID, please review MARADMIN 108/23, Paragraph 3.C for alternate identification requirements.
Base Access for The Legends Golf Course at Parris Island
The Legends Golf Course at MCRD Parris Island is open to the public. Visitors who do not already have authorized installation access must complete the appropriate access process before arriving at the course.
One-Time Visitor Pass
Visiting The Legends for a single round or one-time visit? Follow the steps below before arriving at MCRD Parris Island.
Pre-Register Online
Complete the Visitor Registration Form for groups of eight people or fewer.

The vetting process may take up to seven days. Same-day approval is uncommon. This process is intended for one-time visiting guests only.
Once approved, The Legends Golf Course (MCCS) will notify you via email that gate access has been granted for your requested date.
Annual Pass for Local Residents
To obtain a Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) ID Card for regular access to The Legends Golf Course at MCRD Parris Island, please follow the "Detailed DBIDS Application Guide" or the steps below.

Download and Complete the SECNAV 5512/1 Form
Complete and sign the SECNAV 5512/1 Base Access Pass Registration form. Social Security Number, Date of Birth, and Place of Birth are required to complete law enforcement vetting.

Submit for Vetting
Email the completed form to the MCRD Parris Island Pass & ID Center at: MCRDPIAccessControl@usmc.mil
and copy us at: sc.thelegends@usmc-mccs.org, so our staff is aware of your application.
Notification and ID Issuance
- If approved, The Legends Golf Course (MCCS) will notify you via email or text.
- You may then proceed to the Pass & ID Office at PMO (Bldg. 455) to receive your DBIDS ID Card.
- You must bring a REAL ID-compliant identification card or two alternate forms of identification.
- If your application is not approved, the Provost Marshal's Office (PMO) will contact you directly.
- DBIDS cards are issued for one year. Revalidation is required annually.
