YTC Summer Trip: Hikari Rice Planting

Get your hands dirty and discover one of Japan's most cherished traditions! Join the Youth & Teen Center and travel to Hikari for a hands-on rice planting experience, where you'll learn about the importance of rice cultivation and the hard work that goes into growing this staple of Japanese cuisine. It's a unique opportunity to connect with local culture while enjoying a memorable day outdoors.

Registration

• Field trips are open for actively registered Youth and Teen Center Members.
• Prices vary by trip, and members pay their own admission (Youth and Teen Center provides free transportation and supervision).
• Permission slips are emailed to members prior to the trip. Parents can also visit the center to sign up their children.
