Mt. Ōyama (1,252 m) in Kanagawa Prefecture is a popular mountain for hikers of all levels. 

In March, Mt. Ōyama has a calm early-spring atmosphere. While some signs of winter remain, new plants slowly begin to grow near the lower areas. The air is clear and fresh, making the hike pleasant and peaceful. Along the trail, you can visit sacred places such as Afuri Shrine, walk through quiet cedar forests, and listen to the gentle sound of flowing streams. The mild weather is comfortable for walking.

From the summit, you can enjoy wide views of Mt. Fuji, Sagami Bay, and the surrounding mountains, especially on clear days. After the hike, be sure to try the local specialty, Ōyama tofu, famous for its smooth texture and rich taste.
