Swim lesson registration covers Tuesday through Friday for the full two-week session at the time of registration. Lessons will not be held on federal holidays. Any classes canceled due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances will be refunded at the end of the month.
Group swim lessons are divided by age and skill level. Our goal is to help each swimmer become more comfortable and safer in an aquatic environment.
On the first day of class, your child will complete a brief assessment so instructors can place them in the group that best matches their age and skill level.
Power of Attorney
- To register a participant who is not your legal dependent, you must have a Power of Attorney or Special Power of Attorney. This document must include the participant’s name and be signed by the parent or legal guardian.
Inclement Weather
In the event of thunder or lightning, the aquatic center will close for 30 minutes, and all personnel must clear the pool deck.
If thunder or lightning occurs within 20 minutes prior to the lesson start time, the lesson will be canceled for the day. For example, if your lesson is scheduled for 11:00 a.m., it will be canceled if thunder or lightning occurs at 10:40 a.m. or later. Weather conditions prior to this 20-minute window will not affect the lesson.
If thunder or lightning occurs during a lesson, the remainder of that lesson will be canceled for the day.
We will make every effort to notify you of cancellations; however, we may not always be successful. If you are unsure about your lesson status, please contact your aquatic center directly.
