Volunteer Opportunity: Haunted House

VOLUNTEER TASK(S)

• Decorating the Haunted House Grounds:
  • Setting Up Decorations
    Volunteers will help arrange and install a variety of Halloween-themed decorations around the haunted house. This may include hanging spider webs, placing tombstones, setting up fog machines, and arranging eerie lighting.
  • Building Props
    You may be asked to help assemble larger props, such as scarecrows, skeletons, or haunted trees, to enhance the overall spooky vibe.
  • Creating Pathways
    Volunteers will help design and set up pathways that guide visitors through the haunted house experience, ensuring the layout is both thrilling and safe.
• Assisting with the Haunting Experience:
  • Participating as a Character
    For those who are interested, there will be opportunities to dress up and take on roles as part of the haunted house scare team. You might be stationed at a particular spot to surprise visitors or play a character that adds to the chilling ambiance.
  • Coordinating Scares
    Volunteers may also help with timing and coordinating specific scares, such as operating sound effects, moving props, or interacting with visitors at key moments to maximize the fright factor.
• Maintaining the Haunted House:
  • Ensuring Safety
    As the event progresses, volunteers will help ensure all decorations and props remain in place and safe for visitors, making any necessary adjustments.
  • Supporting Visitors
    Volunteers may also assist visitors with directions or help those who might need to exit the haunted house early.

8-10 volunteers

Volunteers must contact a POC directly to sign up. POC will provide Letters of Appreciation (LOA) to volunteers who participate in the event. Volunteers are responsible for requesting an LOA and providing the POC with their name, rank, and email address upon registering to volunteer so that an LOA can be provided.
